About Amber

'Heavens Collection' by artist Amber Temple Williams:
'When I saw the Arizona sunset for the first time, it postured me so far within my own heart. When I saw the sun set in New Mexico the for the first time, again, I was reminded of something so Real. So True. When the Atlanta skies turn pink, I'm reminded of the One True Reality.
No one can tell me Love doesn't live in the sky. Wanting to remind us all of its Reality. And when my father passed, I had been looking for him for weeks. Waiting for his call. Instead I received a call informing me of his passing… there are things that hurt. And then there are things that hurt so much, you fear it may change you. Change not always being good….
Even then, the sun set. And I sat on my mothers veranda. And that pink… still. Still. Still. Still reminded me. Still stretched out like a hug. Still made my heart feel calm gentle comfort. And for a while I want to stay here. In this knowing. In this Truth.
So, my 'Heavens' collection is all I have artistically right now. I'm holding steadfast to the reminders they bring. A reminder that we will be born. And we will die. And our lineages will watch the same sky set. Our ancestors watched the same sky set. Hopefully, through out the ages, we'll receive the same reminders…
The 'Heavens Collection' really isn't about the skies, sunsets, or pinks at all. It's about what they convey. Something I can't really say. But I hope the paint speaks for me.'
