Haile Selassie and Empress Menen helped many people in Ethiopia by starting various charity projects. They built the Empress Menen School for Girls in Addis Ababa, which gave young women a chance to get an education and made sure boys and girls had equal opportunities. The couple also worked on improving Ethiopia's roads, schools, and hospitals to make life better for everyone. They cared about people's health, so they set up vaccination programs and hospitals to help with medical problems in Ethiopia. Haile Selassie and Empress Menen didn't forget about the less fortunate; they helped the poor, old, and vulnerable people in society. They also wanted to keep Ethiopia's traditions alive, so they supported cultural events and art projects. Their kindness didn't stop in Ethiopia; they also helped people in other countries by supporting peace, education, and development projects. Even though they're no longer here, their acts of kindness still inspire people to help others in Ethiopia and beyond.
